Hello to all my loyal followers and friends!
(You’ve got to be loyal if you’re still interested in anything I am about to say…)

It has been far far too long since you’ve viewed my scribbles and life stories hasn’t it?? Well for that I apologize. There will be things in the future… ”…but Erik! When will that future be?” you ask? I have no idea.

What I do know is.. I am going to be working on the following projects, and you may or may not be getting to see them shortly…

1. Die Homey! DVD packaging! - I used to sing and then play drums in a band called Die Homey! We all went our seperate ways a few years ago, (rumor has it we will be reunited early next year under a new name… more on that way later) but we had footage of concerts lying around that we decided to compile onto 1 easy to carry around DVD. I’m in the process of hand making the DVD inserts. They’re actually very minimal- so I should be finishing them today!! Rahhh!!!

2. The last 3 months! - The last time I posted a daily drawing up to here it was September 19th. Between then and now I have drawn days and I’m trying to decide if I want to continue to catch up… or make some kind of 3 month story that will encompass September 19th up to the end of this year. Many things have happened in that 3 month stretch that it could make for a cool little mini story. I’m not sure what I’ll end up doing… but dailies are still happening in some form or another for these missing months. I will most likely do something separate for those and then continue to post daily beginning January 1, 2011! It’s just around the corner!! AAHH! Where does the time go???

3. Year in Review - One drawing for each month of 2010. You know the drill… Probably one of my favorite things to do to end a year.

4. Xmas presents (?) - Last year I drew Christmas cards for family and friends… I wonder if I will do that again this year. It’s so much work, but it saves so much money! Hehehe. I’ll try my best to come up with something… I always enjoy getting home made things more than store bought things any time of the year. So there’s that.

5. Top Albums of 2010! - The end of the year is approaching rapidly and it’s about that time to reflect on the best music that hit my ears this year. There were so many good releases, and I cannot wait to show you what I liked best!

So that’s the update on the creative projects I got goin’ on…

As far as a life update—-
I now have an awesome girl in my life. Here’s a picture for proof!

You’ll probably be seeing a lot more of her in drawing form, so get used to it! (…to rip a line from Kanye [who’s new album I still gotta get!]) ”She’s about the baddest chick I ever seen… straight up out a movie screen.”

None More Black - Icons (so goddamn good, their best to date.)
Animals As Leaders - S/T (i’m telling you… if you ever get a chance to see this band live… do it!)
Smoke or Fire - The Speakeasy (solid new album… socially conscious topics and inspiring!)
Sigur Ros - Takk..(i got caught in rare seattle snowstorm traffic with this album as the soundtrack.. it reawakened my love for sigur ros)
All Pigs Must Die - EP (kevin baker on vocals?! ben koller on drums?! that’s all i need in a band to have it completely consume my soul [thanks to Tim for the heads up on this band!])

Hmmm what else what else… If you want to be inspired by humanity and feel appreciative of all the people in your life and things you have at your fingertips go watch the movie 127 Hours… Very well done.

I think that’s all I got for now.
