also picked up the Menomena ‘Friend & Foe’ album on Vinyl while I was there… representin’ for Craig Thompson mad style this week.
now it’s time for wine and stir fry in my cold cold home… heheeeeeeeee
Last night Craig Thompson was in town! I sat and watched him discuss comics and the making of his new book Habibi. Then he answered questions. Then he signed my book! I was in fanboy mode and was really nervous to meet him for the 30 seconds that I did… But all in all a totally inspiring dude and an awesome thing to get to see in person!
Oh yeah and TJ was in town last weekend, it was a killer time!!! There’s a picture of him up there with a kickass breakfast that he made us. Good ol- TJ.
Alright… I don’t want to say this is the best graphic novel of all time… but….. this is the best graphic novel I have ever seen! The only thing that comes close is Craig Thompsons other graphic novel Blankets…. He is the gold standard in the graphic novel world to me. Get it, and bask in it’s beauty!!!

But the best part was the Battlestar Galactica exhibit!!!! Tons of cool props and ships and things to geek out over… Here’s tyra with her favorite piece- the red dress Caprica Six was always wearing… heheheh Cool.
Here’s a small dog named Wicket! We stayed a few days in Spokane, WA with Tyra’s mom and got to hang out with this little dog too… it was relaxing and rad.
